Patience definitely paid off for Amy & Mike! We had their shoot originally scheduled for way back in April but due to weather we had to cancel and reschedule. We almost had to reschedule for their rescheduled shoot too! The entire week it was calling for thunderstorms, I checked the weather every single day hoping it would change. It never did. Come the day of, Amy and I communicated back and forth thru email about the whether or not we should reschedule and we chose to just wait because the weather in Michigan is so temperamental. Glad we did, the storms didn’t arrive till hours after their shoot!

Thank you for being so wonderful! You’re a great sport Mike! haha

When kayla contacted me a few months ago about an engagement session I was so excited! Kayla and rob are such a beautiful couple and I truly appreciate when friends ask me to capture such special moments in their life. I enjoy shooting engagement sessions, they’re pretty rare for me, but i like the challenge of something new. I have to touch on the subject line….. after putting the first picture in this SP up on facebook a few days ago, I received text & comments that these two look like movie stars. I AGREE!!! I feel like i’m looking at a modern day Marilyn and James D. ?!? anyone else? WOW! Can’t wait to see what their kiddies look like.

I had a blast Kayla and Robbie! Thank you for a fun morning out in the country! You were such good sports and I hope we’re able to fit in a mini spring session.

*I was pretty excited that Kayla & Rob lived on a dirt road because if you haven’t noticed from previous post I love dirt roads and small depth of field shots.

*Last picture in this set of three  - Thank you Kayla and Robbie for making sure we don’t get hit by the few but fast cars that drove by.

And the last shot of the day….

The future Mr and Mrs Knoodle are going to last through anything since they lasted through this shoot. haha It was as cold as ice and our hands turned to claws in less than 15 minutes. BRRRRRR!!!! Even though the weather turned their ears and noses red, it actually helped me during this e-shoot…. they were so cold that they didn’t want to do anything besides hold each other close and that is exactly what couples should be doing!

We had a great time with you Jessica and Jared! Don and I had a lot of fun kicking your butt’s in Wii MarioKart (yeah right haha)

We wish you two all the best in the world and if you took anything away from us as a married couple of 4 1/2 years, I hope it is that the husband should bake yummy things for his wife. CHEERS!

Well this is the update that everyone has been waiting for!!!!!

The giveaway is…drum roll please…

A 2010 *new* simple session and a press printed 10×10 hardcover custom photo book

The giveaway has now been moved to Thursday, October 15th! It will begin at 5 a.m. and end at 11 p.m. If you would like to be in the giveaway you must leave your first and last name in a comment on the giveaway post (NOT THIS ONE!) which will be posted at exactly 5 a.m. on Thursday . By the way the comment box is right above this post but below the “topic” line….right hand side….see it?

I will then take all the names and put them into random.org for my one time draw and it will randomly (weird I know) choose from the list of names. VERY exciting!!!!! A gift card will be given to the winner and must be used within a year from Oct. 15th. The winner must be able to meet my easy to live with policies. If you want to see my policies before you comment on Thursday, just contact me and I will email them to you.
I know there will for sure be some questions about the giveaway and I would LOVE to answer them. I will list, what I think will be asked, below and if there are other questions please comment on this post  and I hope to get to them before the giveaway!
Here are some questions:
*How long is the session? 90 minutes at the least

*How many pages will the book have? 10 pages (not including cover and back)

*Can we choose our own photos for the book? I will ask for your top 10 favorite photos so that I can put them into prime spots. I like to choose where a lot of the photos go so that the book makes sense and kind of tells a story….your story.

*Do I get to choose when my session takes places: You sure do! You have a year to use it and we will work together on a date that works for both of our families.

*Can I fix the giveaway? ABSOLUTELY not! I can’t even fix the giveaway! I paid random.org to choose someone for me, so this is a very fair giveaway!
