Gabby Goobers and her Baby-Lovin-Brotha - Michigan Children Photographer

Jul 26th 2009 | Categories - Kiddos | No Comments »

Nothing beats being able to bring your child to work with you. :-D I had no intentions of taking Leighton to a shoot with me, even if the shoot was for a good friend, but when that good friend insisted that I bring Leighton to the shoot so that she can watch her……well I’m not gonna turn that offer down!!! Plus, her lil man LOVES babies, so he when we finished the shoot the first thing he did was ask mom if he could hold Leighton. Awwww!

I had a blast with these two hams! Mom stayed on a park bench with my baby while I took her two babies around the park for their shoot. I think that was best too because she mentioned that her lil man might give me a hard time (being shy and all) but whoa… he is a lil man with many faces! I think there are more photos of him than there are of his extremely photogenic sister. I wish I had enough time and space to show all the faces of this baby lovin boy!

Enjoy mom and dad!

Didn’t plan on shedding some tears - Traverse City Childrens Photographer

Jul 18th 2009 | Categories - Families | No Comments »

After meeting this family on the morning of their shoot, I knew that I was in for a great session! Not to mention great pictures! They did a fabulous job just acting like themselves in front of the camera, which is EXACTLY what I strive for!

“Act like I’m not even here!” is a common phrase out of my mouth.

Once I sat down & began sorting through the pictures from their shoot, I had no idea I would end up needing a kleenex!!!! Such beautiful pictures (ps - the people make the pictures, the photographer is just there to capture that moment.) of a beautiful family! Lil Miss “A” has just turned one and it made think that too soon my lil Leighton will be turning one and once again I will need a tissue…. probably a box of them.

I hope you enjoy these  “H” family as much as I enjoyed capturing these fleeting moments for you!!!! *tear*

Drool has never looked so good - Traverse City Child Photographer

Over the 4th of July we had many wonderful friends visiting! A few stayed at our house and a few camped at the campground. One of the camping families is one of my favorites to photograph and thankfully they wanted to get some pics of the kids taken on the beach. So we did a quick session in the evening on the 4th of July. As it was getting later and later all these people kept showing up at the beach (none of them bothered us or came near us till we were finished - Thank you Elk Rapids visitors) and bless my heart, I had NO idea why until it dawned on me the next morning…..DUH! They were there to watch the fireworks that were happening across the bay in Traverse City.
Well anyway, here are the adorable shots from our fun filled and crazy 4th of July! Enjoy mom and dad!!

The quietest little ladies - Northern Michigan Photographer

Jul 8th 2009 | Categories - Kiddos | No Comments »

Little Miss “A” and “E” are by far the quietest little girls I have ever met. I wonder if they are always like that? I should have asked mom.
Well quiet or not they were (and I imagine always are) extremely polite and sweet! Although they were a little hesitant at first to hang out with a stranger & her big camera aka ME, they were happy to help me catch some great shots of them for mommy, daddy, and grandparents to enjoy!

Thank you girls & great job!!!

Be nice to momma baby - Michigan Maternity Photographer

I love looking at parents-to-be and trying to picture what their sweet baby will look like. Will he have momma’s mouth? Will he have daddy’s eyes? I can’t really picture what baby “W” will look like but I do think that he will most definitely be a very happy baby because his parents are just naturally happy people!

I had a blast with them (as always! I just about pee my pants when I’m with Stephanie) and I am so happy that they were up for anything and took direction very well! I’m not sure when I will be setting up backdrops outside again but thanks for being my first! haha

I cannot wait to meet you sweet baby “W”! Please be kind to your funny momma!

Growing up is hard to do ~ Michigan Children’s Photographer

Lil Miss “K” is growing up so fast!

Everytime I see her I feel like months have passed because there are so many changes.  It makes me so happy and so sad all at the same time. It also reminds me that Leighton will be growing up so quickly and I should start snapping pictures of her more often.

Here are some of my favorites of lil miss “K’s” shoot… oh and the first shot is for my subject line. hee hee
