I’m so happy to be able to  capture this little peanuts first year! She is only 4 months but I think her first birthday will be here before I know it and I will be wondering where the time has gone. *sigh*

*This time of year the weather is always wishy washy, it was freezing out so I brought a blanket to wrap them in! SO CUTE! I love how the family pictures turned out. This is in front of their horse barn, so I HAD to take a picture of their sweet horse Ember bc I love horse pictures! (hope I spelled that right)

We hold this family very close to our hearts! I’m extremely envious of them and the fact that they have 3 kids under 3. granted they laugh at me and give me that “you’re crazy look” when I say this to them, but I’m serious! The way I see it is that with one kid you’re crazy, you’re life is turned UP-SIDE-DOWN! you’re daily routines are no longer relaxing, calm or even routines for that matter. So you mine as well just have more kiddies not long after the first. (Unless you have multiples first, then this would change haha) Also, I realize that I should take my own advice on having kids but it takes two. So until my dh (darling husband) is ready for number two, three and four…. I will live vicariously through our friends The Morris’s.

*Morris family - now that you have made the NEW morris boys (josh comes from a family of three boys) it is time to change it up and add in a girl.

When kayla contacted me a few months ago about an engagement session I was so excited! Kayla and rob are such a beautiful couple and I truly appreciate when friends ask me to capture such special moments in their life. I enjoy shooting engagement sessions, they’re pretty rare for me, but i like the challenge of something new. I have to touch on the subject line….. after putting the first picture in this SP up on facebook a few days ago, I received text & comments that these two look like movie stars. I AGREE!!! I feel like i’m looking at a modern day Marilyn and James D. ?!? anyone else? WOW! Can’t wait to see what their kiddies look like.

I had a blast Kayla and Robbie! Thank you for a fun morning out in the country! You were such good sports and I hope we’re able to fit in a mini spring session.

This is sweet little Ellisen otherwise known as Ellie and she is TWO too cute!!!  (pretty crafty, right?)  She was SUCH a sweetie and she wins my award for “Best Dressed Child”! Seriously! Within the first 10 minutes of meeting the LaFay family I was asking “Where did you get those boots?” and then when she put on the next outfit “Oh! Where did you get THOSE shoes?” and of course the last outfit….”….LOVE those shoes!”  I really like Ellie’s taste in clothes aka momma Robyn’s taste in clothes. FIRST DIBS! haha

A big thank you to Ellie’s daddy for running back home to grab the 2nd and 3rd outfits that were accidentally left behind. This happens more often than you would think.

I had a great time LaFay family! Ellie really is as sweet as everyone said she was going to be so GREAT job on raising such a wonderful little girl!

if you didn’t notice her adorable shoes….

hip hip hooray! She is here! Remember this adorable couple? It was just a little over a month ago that I was at their house for a maternity shoot. I know that Melissa would probably disagree with me when I say “the past few weeks FLEW by!” but they did! Miss Delaney Grace (adorable, right?) had to come a few weeks early but she is happy, healthy and L.O.V.E.D like crazy!!!!

She was such an easy model to work with! She didn’t give us any attitude or mean looks when we asked her to stay in a certain pose. *wink* She did however, give me baby fever like crazy! I mean I’ve had it for a while but being around a sweet little peanut for a few hours just makes my heart flutter. I made a joke that I’m going to start bringing my husband to newborn shoots, in hopes that a babies magic works on him too. haha

Thank you again Waylon, Melissa, and Delaney for inviting me into your home so soon after she made her appearance. Treasure each moment with her because this year will fly by and before you know it, she is walking and talking. :*)

*Melissa made that hat for Delaney. She can just sit there for 2 hours and make somthing like this. I’m in awe of this Melissa and Melissa from NuxieMade. you two have a gift!

FROM MELISSA: This is the story of lucky… We went through almost three years of fertility treatments to get pregnant with Delaney. A good friend of ours that had experienced some fertility issues when she tried to get pregnant gave us a four leaf clover (”lucky”). With Lucky she had written a note of numerous women’s stories (including her own) of their struggle to conceive and how lucky had brought them luck and they became pregnant. In the note it said to believe in lucky and you it will bring you luck and you will become pregnant. When we went through our IVF cycle we took lucky with us everywhere. I was never without him. He came to ultrasounds, Waylon would put it in my hand after surgeries, and I carried it in my purse always. With that IVF cycle we became pregnant with Delaney. Might be a little superstitious but we are believers and are greatful for Lucky’s help. Lucky brought us hope which we needed at that time. We own Lisa a ton of thanks for bringing Lucky to us!!

I can guarantee that my 3 sisters said “SEEEESTERS!” out-loud when they read the subject line. Does anyone else call their sisters “seester” or are we the only weird ones? - this was a rhetorical question, thank you!  moving on…

I LOVe my job!!  Every few days or weeks I get to hang out with a new family f or a couple of hours and all we do is HAVE FUN! This was definitely one of those shoots!  The bonus was that both Mr & Mrs Fuhr are friends from high school!  it’s fun catching up with old friends!

This is Rylee & she ROCKS!!!!!!!  Her room is SUPER tidy and she doesn’t ever have to be told to clean it. Girl takes pride in her things! I like that! Like her canvas? It says “life is a song. ROCK IT!” and my  sister Jenni made it!

This is Kaelynn! Momma “F” warned me that Miss K doesn’t care for cameras and she won’t look at them. I think I have found a camera she likes….no…scratch that…. LOVES! She hammed it up the ENTIRE time! These shots were just 10 minutes into our shoot! haha (PS - Kaelynn is 3 days younger than Leighton - May babies are so cool! haha)

I LOOOOOOOOVE this picture of Rylee!!!! WOW!!! she is blessed with some very unique and breathtaking looks!  I would love to have her lips! Also, isn’t this just a great shot of a tween?

Mr & Mrs Odom decided to head up to my neck of the woods for this session. The lovely session was for Finleigh’s 2 year pictures but no matter what the sessions focus may be, family photos are always a must! We did both inside and outside and I’m just not sure which is my favorite!!!! This family is always a great time!  every time I have captured their cherished memories (wow! This was our 4th session together) I walk away feeling inspired for the next family session because of their genuine interaction as a family while my camera just snaps away. I feel very blessed that they ask me to capture these wonderful memories for them!

We had a great time Odom familiy! You’re always welcome in our home! especially if you make that yummy baked mac  cheese & caesar salad!!!! I enjoyed it the next day too!

see you in July with your 1 and 2.5 year old! GASP!!!! Scary to think about. Time is flying by!
